• What is a shared tour?

A scheduled tour is a programmed tour with fixed itinerary and visits and that has grouped individual travelers together. The price is per person.

  • How many persons are there per group/tour?

Tours are for 8 persons maximum.

  • Do you pick up at hotels or is there a pick up point in Sarlat?

In Sarlat, we do not pick up at hotels for any of our regular tours. We have a pick up point that is located Place Pasteur at the Bus Stop very close to the central post office of Sarlat. For our private tours we will pick you up at your hotel.

  • What happens if we do not find the meeting point?

You have to be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes prior to tour departure. If you are having difficulties finding the meeting point you must call us on our emergency number +33 556 152 609 so that we may help you find the exact area. Please note that tours leave on time and if you are not there at the designated area and indicated time the driver/guide will leave. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information.

  • What type of vehicles are used for the tours, do they have A/C and other equipment?

Our company uses only Mercedes 8 seater minivans that are recent, comfortable and fully equipped including individual A/C, shaded windows, large leg space and on board P/A system for live commentaries by the guide.

  • Who conducts the tours?

We only employ accredited and licensed tour guides that are also the drivers. This means that all our guides are authorised to conduct visits in Museums, monuments and in historical city centers. Good examples are: Private guided tour of the National Prehistory Museum, guided tour in caves such as Rouffignac, a guided walking tour of Sarlat, visit of the Abbey of La Sauve Majeure, guided visits of castles and so on...

  • Are the entrance fees included?

Yes, all the entrance fees to attractions mentioned on the itinerary during our shared tours are included. On the other hand, entrance fees during private tours are not included unless specified otherwise.

  • Are meals included during the full day tours?

No, we never include any meals but your driver/guide will point out different options for you to choose from for lunch.

  • What must I wear?
The Dordogne is a region where one visits villages with cobbled stone streets, Chateaus and caves. Even though the walking level is easy, it is very much suggested to wear good walking shoes. Also, for the caves, the average temperature never exceeds 14° C (around 55° F). It is therefore wise to have warm clothings with you for the visit of the caves.
